Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley has confirmed captain Scott Pendlebury is set to face Melbourne at the Gabba on Saturday.

Pendlebury has missed the club's last four matches with a quad injury after being a late out against the Eagles in round eight.

Buckley confirmed Pendlebury's inclusion into the side to take on the Demons while revealing young midfielder Brayden Sier will miss at least the next month.

Sier sustained a quad injury and is set to be sidelined for the next 4-6 weeks.

Jamie Elliot has been cleared to play against Melbourne after being hit high in the Magpies' round 11 clash against Sydney.
