Travis Cloke has reportedly been dropped from the Bulldogs' side to face St Kilda on Saturday via text message.
ESPN has reported that Cloke was sent a text message from coach Luke Beveridge on Wednesday night telling the ex-Collingwood forward he was dumped from the side.
The 30-year-old returned to the Dogs' line-up last weekend four weeks out with broken ribs, but could only manage one goal and 11 disposals, and also gave away a crucial 50m penalty in the final quarter.
Since making the move to Whitten Oval in the off-season, Cloke has taken just four contested marks and kicked just six goals in his five games with the Dogs, and will now return back to the reserves in a bid to stake his claim for a recall against Sydney in two weeks.
The Bulldogs have a bye next weekend, meaning Cloke will have two weeks to impress Beveridge at VFL level.
