Champion Data have once again released their forward ratings for the upcoming 2018 AFL season.

With them ranking the forwards in three respective categories, mid-forwards, general forwards and key forwards.

It seems that they view Port Adelaide's forwards as the best in the AFL for season 2018.

Port ranks first in both the general and key forward categories and second in the mid-forward category.

Boasting powerhouses Robbie Gray, Sam Gray, Jack Watts ,Charlie Dixon, Chad Wingard and Travis Boak. With Dixon, Gray, Wingard and Boak being classed as elite and Watts and Gray being classed above average.

It seems that Champion Data have consistently placed Port, with having the best overall forwards in the competition.

Geelong's forwards seem to be also favored by Champion Data, more specifically their mid and key forwards respectively with Sam Menegola classified as elite and Harry Taylor and Tom Hawkins regarded as above average.

Reigning premiers Richmond are more favored in the mid-forward category with Shane Edwards featuring in the elite category, with other big names such as Kane Lambert and Josh Caddy listed above average.

Their key forwards have been given a low 10th with only Jack Riewoldt ending up in the above average category.

Strangely enough, grand finalists Adelaide have been given the worst mid-forwards rating, with all of their mid forwards yet to debut for the club.

Carlton have ended up last in the general forward ranking. Matthew Wright did rate as above average and Darcy Lang as average, however Jed Lamb, Jarrod Pickett and Jack Silvagni all obtained poor ratings.

Finally Fremantle ended dead last in the key forward bracket. Their highest rated were Cam McCarthy and Shane Kersten respectively, who were both classified as below average.
