Geelong have announced that three players have been delisted; however, the club plans to re-draft a young pair via next month's Rookie Draft.

Cats midfielder Ted Clohesy has not been offered a new contract for 2026, while George Stevens and Keighton Matofai-Forbes have also been delisted but are expected to be redrafted.

Clohesy, a product of Geelong's Next Generation Academy, played 12 AFL games during his time at Kardinia Park, which started in 2022.

"Ted has had a positive impact at the Club and has been a consistent performer at VFL level, finishing runner-up in our best and fairest in 2024 and placing in the top 10 again this season," Cats football boss Andrew Mackie said.

"We would like to thank Ted for his contribution to our football program and wish him all the best in the future."

Stevens made his debut this year against Richmond and showed positive signs, registering 21 disposals, eight clearances, 14 score involvements and a goal in the Round 17 victory.

The big-bodied midfield-defender played one further game at AFL level before returning to the VFL, where he was one of the competition's best onballers in his second season.

Matofai-Forbes was drafted to Geelong last year as the 69th overall pick in the National Draft.

The decision to re-draft both Stevens and Matofai-Forbes does leave the Cats susceptible to losing one or both players to another club at the Rookie Draft.

The list changes at Geelong follow the departures of Mitch Duncan (retired), Cameron Guthrie (delisted), Xavier Ivisic (delisted) and Patrick Retschko (Richmond Tigers) this off-season.
