Brisbane half-back Dayne Zorko will be a watch for the club heading into the final few rounds of the home-and-away season after the 37-year-old was "spooked" by a hamstring concern on Saturday night.
The star defender has struggled with a quad injury in 2026, restricting him to just nine games. Round 19's clash against West Coast was just his second match back from the injury.
Zorko returned to the field and played out the game, collecting 15 disposals in the win, but was rested on the bench in the dying stages as a precaution.
Two-time premiership coach Chris Fagan spoke after the match about Zorko's injury.
"He got a little bit spooked by his hamstring early in the game and just got some sort of awareness there and wasn't quite sure," Fagan said.
"In the end, we brought him off the ground late just to protect him a little bit. I don't expect there to be any damage, but of course he's getting a little bit older now, so he just wanted to play it carefully.
"That's the way I'm reading it. If there is an injury there, it'll probably be a one-week injury. So we'll wait and see what happens next week. We might give him a rest. We'll just see how he is."
Brisbane faces a depleted Port Adelaide side at the Gabba next week.

West Coast had its own star trouble with young gun Harley Reid injuring his ankle early in the match after a bump from Brisbane's Noah Answerth. The incident saw the Lion placed on report, but he should get off after the replay showed nothing malicious and Reid suffered no concussion issues.
Reid did, however, fall, and there may be a problem with his ankle.
The 21-year-old played out the game and made an impact with 23 disposals and 10 clearances, but his coach Andrew McQualter said he was no certainty to line up against Fremantle in the Derby next Friday night.
"Never 100 per cent confident, because he's had something," McQualter said.
"He had to get some work done, so we're just going to have to see how he pulls up. It's obviously pleasing that he was able to play the game, but the next couple of days we'll find out.
"They had to do some work to get (his ankle) going again, and it just took a little bit of time, but in the end he was able to come back on and really compete quite well for the rest of the game."
