If you watched Brisbane teammates maul Zac Bailey after he kicked a goal following the half-time siren in Sunday's monster 90-point win over Essendon, you'd think it was celebrated a bit more than usual.
Bailey is currently weighing up his free agency decision, with Adelaide pushing hard for his signature, while other rival clubs assess the situation to see if they can swoop.
But reports of late has the dual premiership Lion remaining in Queensland, with the club understood to have increased its offer to rival the Crows' $10 million, seven-year deal.
Lachie Neale's expected departure to Collingwood will ease salary cap pressures, which will allow the Lions to table more money to Bailey to ensure he stays.
Yet, when Brisbane coach Chris Fagan was quizzed on the Lions' response to Bailey's goal, he played a straight bat.

"Nah, nah, there's no news," he grinned.
"That's just what we do. We get around our blokes when they score and try to create excitement.
"I think every player in this club wants Zac to stay.
"As I said in my press conference the other day, the journalists who report on the game know more than what we know. That's not me having a go at them. All I know is he's playing good footy and he's happy around the footy club.

"So, to me, the signs are he wants to stay. He's not troubled by anything
"I'm confident. I hope it's not stupid confidence."
Late last month, Bailey's agent Tom McConville from Mac's Sports Promotions said no decision on his future has been made, while indicating the Lions and Crows weren't the only options on the table.
"There's a lot of club who are picking up the phone about Zac Bailey. But at the moment, he's rapt at Brisbane. I think there's plenty of clubs out there, so I wouldn't say it's down to just those two clubs.
"At this stage, there's a fair bit to play out."
