New faces: A busy off-season has seen some new faces in Brisbane, most notably Hawthorn legend Luke Hodge and Adelaide speedster, Charlie Cameron.

Hodge's experience and leadership at half-back will be influential in a young side, whilst Cameron's game-breaking ability could provide the Lions with an extra win or two in 2018. Number one pick Cameron Rayner should play straight away, likely as a dangerous medium forward before he builds his tank to play in the midfield.

On the fringe: Key back/forward Josh Walker will be in the selection discussion from day one, offering a big frame with experience to create a presence at either end of the ground.

Nick Robertson will also be there abouts, likely in a tagging role. Youngsters Cedric Cox, Tom Cutler, Zac Bailey, Archie Smith and Jacob Allison should also play senior footy in 2018.

First picked: Dayne Zorko
