Melbourne half-back Jayden Hunt is reportedly set to be left out of the Demons’ round three side for their clash against North Melbourne on Saturday at the MCG.

Simon Goodwin is ready to swing the axe, with foxfooty.com.au reporting the 23-year-old will be dropped for the first time in his career.

Hunt has played all 43 games since making his debut in round four, 2016, but after a measly six disposals against Brisbane last Saturday night, he will need to find form in the VFL before breaking back into the senior side.

Melbourne’s team will be announced at 6.30pm on Thursday night.
