Orazio Fantasia could be shown the exit door from Windy Hill as he looks for a move back to his home state South Australia.

Earlier in the year SEN's South Australian correspondent and former Port Adelaide champion Kane Cornes reported that the small forward wanted to move back home to Adelaide.

Now it seems that Fantasia's move away from Essendon to either Port Adelaide or Adelaide is gaining traction, as Herald Sun football journalist Jon Ralph believes that only a medical is all that is needed for him to sign with one of the two South Australian teams.

"If it is that he passes that independent medical test, I think it’s sure that he will find his way to one of the South Australian clubs,” Ralph told Fox Footy.

“I think that door is effectively shut for him to return to the Essendon Football Club.

“He could’ve secured a four-year deal on significant money last year. He decided instead he would remain with the Essendon Football Club and he probably wanted to repay their faith as well.

“But everything now points to him moving on.”

Fantasia was drafted to Essendon with Pick 55 in the 2013 AFL Draft and made his debut in 2014.

He has since played 80 matches for the Dons and kicked 111 goals.
