Carlton forward Jack Silvagni is set to face 4-6 weeks o the sidelines as he prepares for surgery in Perth on Monday, per Carltonfc.com.au.

The 22-year-old is set to have a small ITB (iliotibial band) release procedure.

Head of Football Brad Lloyd said the time to recover will benefit Silvagni's career in the long run.

“This is a standard procedure that we’re confident will aid Jack’s recovery and we expect him to miss between 4-6 weeks.”

Silvagni has featured in just three games for Carlton in 2020, including wins against Geelong and Essendon.
