Richmond legend Kevin Bartlett has announced his prediction for Thursday night's season opener between the Tigers and the Blues, and it's as one-eyed as you think it is.

Bartlett hasn't been one to hid his feelings and keep his opinions to himself, as he recently suggested the Tigers could be on track for the first five-peat in AFL history.

The 403-game star began his rant on SEN's KB and the Doc telling listeners over 90,000 will be in attendance on Thursday, although that figure is expected, with Richmond imploring supporters to buy tickets in order to secure a seat.

Bartlett then went on to make a prediction for the game, and instead of tipping the Tigers by a margin, he just decided rule the Blues out of the contest.

And any other future contests between the two sides.

"Come Thursday night, the yellow and black will have the last laugh. For over 90,000 will turn up," Bartlett began.

"The Tiger army will come out in force to see the flag unfurled and to start the title defence against traditional rival Carlton.

"The Blues, of course, don’t stand a chance, despite Carlton captain Marc Murphy saying that they are looking forward to ruining Richmond’s parade.

"My prediction is man will land on Mars before Carlton ever beats Richmond again.

"I’m KB. That’s my take."
