Delisted Richmond forward Jake Aarts has signed with Victorian local club Dromana in the first move since his departure from Punt Road.

Aarts was among a quartet of Tigers not offered new deals by the club in October, with Riley Collier-Dawkins, Sydney Stack and Will Martyn also being shown the door.

Both Collier-Dawkins (Woodville-West Torrens) and Martyn (Port Melbourne) have ventured to state league clubs for 2023, while Stack is yet to confirm his next club since leaving Richmond.

Aarts has flocked to the local level, with the Dromana Tigers revealing this week that they've swooped on the 28-year-old for the season ahead.

"The Dromana Tigers Football Netball Club is excited to welcome Jake Aarts, his partner Amelia and their daughter Ava to the Jungle," a club post reads.

"Jake will bring a high level of experience having played Football at the highest level with the Richmond Football Club.

"Jake is really excited to pull on the boots and get to work with the coaches and playing group for the upcoming season.

"Jake has a real passion to help develop our young group, and will be huge boost to our playing group."

Aarts joined the Tigers through the 2018 Rookie Draft and would play 42 games in three seasons in the yellow and black, booting 34 goals.

He would enjoy a stellar season at VFL level in 2022, claiming Richmond's best and fairest award and a squad spot for the competition's Team of the Year.

Dromana finished fourth on the MPNFL ladder in 2022 after recording 10 wins, two draws and six losses for the season.
