Adelaide is counting the cost of Thursday's stoic one-point victory over Geelong in front of the home crowd.

Crows recruit Callum Ah Chee has been downed with another hamstring injury, while key defender Jordon Butts has injured his calf.

Debutant and mid-season pick-up Hugo Hall-Kahan collided with teammate Toby Murray in the final term, but returned to the field.

"Ah Chee is a hamstring, Jordon Butts is a calf, again, we don't know to what extent," Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks said.

"We hope they're minor.

"I'm led to believe it's just a gash across the nose for Hugo."

Ah Chee's string of soft-tissue problems has plagued the two-time premiership player since arriving at West Lakes.

The former Lion suffered a hamstring injury in February's State of Origin clash but was able to get himself fit for the first two weeks of the season.

However, Ah Chee spent the next eight weeks on the sidelines, returning last week before the latest setback against Geelong.

"It's really tough," Nicks said.

"The first thing he says about it is he doesn't want to let the group down. That's the sort of person he is. But it's an interesting one because he's had such a long career at a club - every club trains slightly differently about what loads you look at, how much you do in the gym, running program - so we'll just keep looking at if there's challenges in what we do here compared to what he's done for such a long time.

"There's a couple where the stretch he's on, everyone is doing their hammy the last time he did it.

"We're really confident we'll get that right and he's going to be super important for us in the latter part of this year."

He's played two significant roles on defensive weapons, James Sicily and Tom Stewart, in consecutive weeks, which is something Nicks and the Crows will miss.

"It wasn't a full tag (on Stewart)," Nicks said.

"It was just enough respect and attention. We call it respect because of how good Stewart is. He did something in Sicily last week as well. So we'll miss that, hopefully not for too many weeks. Hopefully it's a minor injury."

Butts has faced his own injury woes in 2026, playing nine games for the year due to a concussion and adductor issues.

The Crows have jumped inside the top six and will take on the Western Bulldogs next week.
