The AFL are set to announce their Grand Final entertainment over the coming days, and an Australian rock legend is tipped to headline the show.

Jimmy Barnes is rumoured to lead the entertainment, in what would be his second Grand Final performance, with his first coming in 2009.

The Herald Sun understand Barnes has a deal in place with Channel 7 to show his documentary Working Class Boy on TV in the upcoming weeks, which could be perfect promotion for his September 29 performance.

Barnes isn't the only act linked to performing at the decider, with US group Black Eyed Peas also a chance to play at the MCG.

They have a UK tour in late October, meaning they are available on Grand Final Day, after half of the group DJ'd at the Melbourne Grand Prix earlier this year.
