Collingwood teenage star Chloe Molloy has received the round one nomination for the 2018 AFLW Rising Star award.

The 19-year-old produced a stellar performance in front of over 19,000 fans on her AFLW debut, amassing 20 disposals and equal-high coaches votes with Carlton gun Tayla Harris.

Molloy was drafted out of the Calder Cannons as a forward with pick 3 in the national draft, but showed her poise and composure playing as a defender on Friday night.

The young gun enjoyed a spectacular 2017 season, winning the TAC Cup Best-and-Fairest award whilst leading the league goal-kicking tally and also being named the VFLW Rising Star.

Molloy was also named in both the VFLW and TAC Cup teams of the year.

Being the nephew of former Pie Jarrod Molloy, Chloe has football pedigree in her blood and is one of the brightest young talents in Australian football.

The AFLW Rising Star award is announced at the conclusion of the AFLW season.
