Brisbane's AFL Women's marquee player and star forward, Tayla Harris, wants to be traded to Carlton, according to AFL.com.au.

Harris kicked four goals in eight games for the Lions and was a key part of the club's promotion in the lead up to the competition. She was also employed in the club's communications department, before recently informing the side of her desire to leave to play in Victoria.

However, getting a deal done with the Blues will be the tricky part.

The Lions are likely to request a high draft pick for Harris, however, the Blues only earlier this week traded their first three draft picks to Collingwood for the Magpies' best and fairest winner, Nicola Stevens.

As part of the deal, Collingwood traded Stevens and pick No.28 to Carlton, while the Blues sent picks five, 13 and 21 the other way.

Carlton will therefore most likely be forced to part ways with a star of their own satisfy the Magpies.

However, in better news for the Lions, the club re-signed nine players earlier this week, with Emma Zielke, Sabrina Frederick-Traub, Alexandra Anderson, Brittany Gibson, Breanna Koenen, Tahlia Randall, Jamie Stanton, Sharni Webb and Jess Wuetschner all putting pen to paper on new deals.
