The AFL has revealed Bailey Williams, Kysaiah Pickett and Conor McKenna as the finalists for the 2026 Goal of the Year.

The trio are in the running for $50,000, with the overall winner to be determined by the AFL All Australian selection panel and announced at the 2026 Brownlow Medal on Monday, 21 September.

Williams produced his stellar effort in the Western Bulldogs' Opening Round win against Brisbane at the Gabba.

The Bulldogs utility stepped around multiple Lions players whilst running along the boundary before snapping it over his head.

It's no shock that Pickett finds himself as a finalist for Goal of the Year, with the Melbourne livewire flagging at last year's All-Australian awards night that he wants to win the nod along with the Mark of the Year.

The Demons midfielder, against GWS, crumbed a forward 50 marking contest brilliantly in front of fans at Alice Springs.

Pickett almost picked it up cleanly, but soccered it towards the boundary before picking up the ball as he reached the chalk.

He swung on his right foot with pressure from the opposition before slotting a goal from an impossible angle.

A goal from Pickett in Round 7 against Richmond also earned a nomination.

Lions defender-turned-forward McKenna had a night to remember against Collingwood in Round 24.

But his quick thinking to intercept a handball from young Pie Sam Swadling before flicking his foot onto the loose ball from the boundary got all fans out of their seats.

The craft and foot control from McKenna can be attributed to his Gaelic skills, as well as the Sherrin.
