In worrying news for Tiger fans, Richmond ruck/forward Mabior Chol is reportedly set for a move in the off-season to a rival club.

The two-metre big man has found it hard to nail down a spot in a Richmond side that has won three of the last four premierships, and is by all accounts set to look for a new home come season's end.

Chol possesses some incredible athleticism for a player of his size, and it was on full display on Sunday afternoon as he booted two majors to help the Tigers to a 28-point win over the Crows.

According to Fox Sports News journalist Jon Ralph, Chol is the subject of intense interest from a host of rival clubs looking to pin him down on a multi-year deal.

“Mabior Chol’s manager Ralph Carr admits there’s three or four suitors. Gold Coast is up for both of them - I think Gold Coast has a big fish out there they’re trying to drag out of contract, I’m not sure who that is," Ralph said on Fox Sports News.

“While the Tigers will fight tooth and nail to keep Callum Coleman-Jones, I think there’s an almost an acceptance from the Tigers that rivals are going to offer Mabior Chol three-year deals, they’re going to offer better money than the Tigers and I think it’s very likely that he will move elsewhere."

It is predicted that the Tiger will try and get a move back to Queensland, with the 24-year-old hailing from the Brisbane suburb of Aspley.

His tall counter-part, Callum Coleman-Jones, enjoyed a huge second game for the Tigers on Sunday, booting four majors as he toiled over the Crows defence with his huge reach.

Coleman-Jones' ten-game ban last year as a result of an incident on the Gold Coast with teammate Sydney Stack seems to have lit a fire in his belly, and the youngster is now highly rated - even amongst neutral fans.

Chol has enjoyed some brief stints in the Richmond side over the last few years, and has become a fan favourite over time.

However, even with an ACL injury to first-choice ruckman Ivan Soldo last season, Chol failed to secure a place in the team that stormed to a historic 13th flag.

This week, the Tigers go up against the Bombers in Perth in the annual Dreamtime game, which was moved out of Victoria for a second year running due to the pandemic.

Chol will most likely retain his spot in the side and will certainly be aiming to impress potential suitors and Damien Hardwick alike.
