Recruiters from rival clubs are monitoring Jackson Nelson and his future at West Coast, with the 26-year-old reportedly seen as obtainable.

The soon to be unrestricted free agent is yet to start any negotiations over a new contract beyond this season at the Eagles, despite featuring in Adam Simpson's senior side on 11 occasions this year.

Across eight seasons, Nelson has proved to be a consistent role player between the wing and halfback. The Geelong Falcons product notched up his 100th game against Geelong in June but was subsequently dropped from the side following the milestone.

Throughout 2022, the St Mary's junior has produced means of 14.7 disposals and 4.4 marks each week, rises from his respective career averages of 12.3 touches and 3.5 grabs since debuting in Round 1 of the 2015 season.

Nelson's seasonal peak came during West Coast's Round 3 defeat at the hands of Port Adelaide when he found the Sherrin on 25 occasions, hauled in 10 marks and added 4 inside 50s to his tally.

Though Riley Beveridge of AFL Media reported that opposition suitors have eyed the Eagle, it is not yet known whether the Cats are among the collective.
