If Gryan Miers were traded to the West Coast, would it help unlock multiple deals?
Miers underwent a medical at the Eagles before leaving for Europe, and despite his manager Liam Pickering insisting he wants to remain at Geelong, there is a world where he could swap the blue and white hoops for the yellow and blue guernsey.
The Cats are interested in luring St Kilda ruckman Rowan Marshall, but the Saints want a first-round pick for his services.
Marshall has intended to head down the highway for the past 12 months, and took it one step further when he boycotted the Saints' best-and-fairest evening earlier in the week.

Meanwhile, the Saints want to acquire Brisbane's Sam Marshall, and their first offer of a future second and third-round pick has quickly been rejected.
The Lions want 2026 selections to help ensure they land academy prospect Caylen Murray, and avoid the heavily impacted 2027 draft due to Tasmania's introduction.
So, where does it all land?
For starters, if the Cats make the difficult decision to part ways with Miers, who is contracted until 2028 and played in the 2022 premiership, they'd likely yield West Coast's Pick 21.
That selection could be used for St Kilda's Marshall, despite the Saints being adamant on wanting Geelong's Pick 14, which is not up for grabs.
The Saints could use the Pick 21 to grab the Lions' Marshall, satisfying Brisbane's desire to acquire another pick in this year's draft.
Marshall was Pick 25 two years ago in a stacked draft, and played in the 2025 premiership team.

The Lions would end up with Pick 21, and they'd be satisfied with their hand (Picks 18, 39, 40, 51, 56, 77) heading into November's intake.
