At his best, De Goey is a damaging inside midfielder capable of racking up possessions and impacting the scoreboard.
He turned away from free agency in 2022, knocking back interest from St Kilda, while he also decided against a lucrative deal in 2018 from North Melbourne, ultimately signing a long-term contract with the Pies until 2027.
But now, De Goey appears to be more open to a move, and his management is reported to be looking at rival clubs to see if there is any interest.

Richmond
The Tigers lose a lot of experience in their midfield with Dion Prestia calling time on his Richmond career, but it could make way for De Goey to join them.
The loss of Prestia and Nathan Broad going into 2027 means the Tigers are left with only eight players who have played 100-plus games.
De Goey could help the young Tigers side with experience and leadership, mentoring young gun Sam Lalor.
The addition of De Goey to Yze's side would also strengthen their midfield alongside Jacob Hopper, Toby Nankervis and Tim Taranto.
Richmond only totalled 263 centre clearances all year, the equal-worst in the league alongside Essendon, and desperately need an impact stoppage player.
