At his best, De Goey is a damaging inside midfielder capable of racking up possessions and impacting the scoreboard.
He turned away from free agency in 2022, knocking back interest from St Kilda, while he also decided against a lucrative deal in 2018 from North Melbourne, ultimately signing a long-term contract with the Pies until 2027.
But now, De Goey appears to be more open to a move, and his management is reported to be looking at rival clubs to see if there is any interest.

Port Adelaide ranks 10th in both total clearances and centre clearances; however, the Power comes in 14th for inside 50s in 2026. A player like De Goey could help them get the ball going forward more often than not.
The Power only kicked 255 goals for the season (the fourth least of every side this year), as Georgiades was really their only target up forward, kicking 51 goals. Small forward Corey Durdin came in second with 32, and this gap shows how De Goey is definitely a player who should be on Carr's radar.
