- GWS (-)
Ladder position: 1st
The Giants were never really troubled against Brisbane on Monday, and strolled to a 60-point win on the back of strong performances from Dylan Shiel, Jonathon Patton and Jeremy Cameron.
2. Adelaide (-)
Ladder position: 2nd
After a five-goal second quarter, Adelaide would have been expected to come out after half-time and build on their 18-point lead, but instead were just outworked by Hawthorn in the second half, and kicked just three goals in a disappointing performance.
3. Geelong (-)
Ladder position: 3rd
Geelong fought gallantly and overcame a 19-point deficit at three-quarter time and kept the Dockers goalless in the final term despite having one fit player on the bench. Joel Selwood played less than a minute after getting concussed early, and he's now in doubt for their important clash with GWS on Saturday.
4. Port Adelaide (-)
Ladder position: 4th
Robbie Gray was brilliant in the Power's domination of Collingwood on Saturday, kicking four first-half goals and having his hand in many others during the 31-point win. Port Adelaide never got out of second gear all afternoon.
5. Richmond (-)
Ladder position: 6th
After a weekend of upsets and close games, you would have thought Richmond were going to continue that trend on Sunday afternoon, but instead held on to a 13-point lead at the final break to take home a much needed four points.
6. Melbourne (+1)
Ladder position: 5th
The Demons continued on their winning ways after an impressive three-point win in Perth on Saturday night. Tom McDonald booted his fifth with just 30 seconds remaining, to extend Melbourne's winning streak to four games and cement themselves in fifth position on the ladder.
7. Sydney (+2)
Ladder position: 10th
Sydney pulled out a remarkable win against Essendon after they looked down and out, coming from 19 points down with under five minutes left. Gary Rohan was the hero with the match-winning goal, although Josh Kennedy, Jake Lloyd and Luke Parker were some of the Swans' best as their resurgence continues.
8. West Coast (-2)
Ladder position: 7th
West Coast just couldn't hold on to a late lead against Melbourne on Saturday night, and went down by three points to the Demons. The Eagles are struggling to play consistent football at the moment, and that will need to turn around soon if they're to push for a top four berth.
9. Western Bulldogs (-1)
Ladder position: 9th
The Bulldogs finally got back in the winners' circle on Saturday night, holding on for a one-point win over North Melbourne. Marcus Bontempelli and Jack Macrae led the way for the Dogs, who grabbed a much needed result, and are now just outside the eight on percentage.
10. Essendon (-)
Ladder position: 11th
The Bombers took a leaf out of Richmond's book on Friday night, giving away a match they had no business in losing. Several little errors and poor decisions saw Essendon give up a 19-point lead with under five minutes remaining, as that result could come back to hurt the Dons.
11. St Kilda (-)
Ladder position: 8th
In front of a measly crowd of just under 16,000 fans, the Saints got the job done against the Gold Coast at Etihad Stadium. Jack Billings, Koby Stevens and Nick Riewoldt led the way in the 31-point win, as St Kilda hold on to eighth spot.
12. Fremantle (-)
Ladder position: 12th
Michael Walters would still be kicking himself. The talented forward missed a relatively east shot at goal that would have been the match winner in the dying seconds of Fremantle's loss to Geelong. Despite playing much better football than they have in the past month, the Dockers would still be upset they let a 34-point second quarter lead slip.
13. Carlton (-)
Ladder position: 15th
After a string of very impressive performances and victories, the Blues just didn't come to play at the MCG on Sunday. Patrick Cripps and Matthew Kruezer were two of the best players on the ground, but Carlton were never in the contest after half time.
14. Gold Coast (+1)
Ladder position: 14th
The Suns stuck with the Saints until midway through the final quarter at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, but just couldn't find that next gear, and ultimately went down by 31 points.
15. Collingwood (+1)
Ladder position: 13th
Collingwood were poor against Port Adelaide for most of the afternoon, and were never really in the contest.
16. North Melbourne (-2)
Ladder position: 17th
This slide down the table has been a few weeks in the making, with three losses on the bounce now likely putting an end to their finals aspirations.
17. Hawthorn (-)
Ladder position: 16th
A brilliant performance from Hawthorn on Thursday night. Against the odds, the Hawks came out and took it to one of the best teams in the competition on their own deck, showing there's still some fight in the Hawks this season.
18. Brisbane (-)
Ladder position: 18th
Another loss, but yet again the Lions showed glimpses. It's going to be a long road, but as the season goes on, the light at the end of the tunnel gets a little brighter.
