Carlton great Mark Maclure believes Collingwood are no certainties to feature in September action this year.
Collingwood are currently third on the ladder and won seven games in a row before their loss to West Coast last weekend. But they have a tough run home that features three top-eights sides and three of the most dangerous sides who are out of the eight.
"They were second last week, they're third this week," Maclure said on AFL 360.
"They have a chance, and I don't want to mozz them, but they could miss the eight, seriously, with their run home."
This week the Pies face North Melbourne this weekend, who sit ninth on the ladder and need to win to get back into the eight.
