There were plenty of standout performers from the AFL Draft pathways as forwards booted big bags, and the VFL saw teenagers take the spotlight.
Seven-goal hauls from a South Australian at the National Championships and from a GWS Rebels talent in the Coates Talent League were among the headline acts, with an Eastern Ranges small forward also booting a big return to steer his side to a narrow win.
The VFL saw a trio debut in the same game, two of whom are tied to AFL clubs, and another had a starring performance to make his name known to AFL Scouts.
Here's all the latest AFL Draft news from across the country...
South Aussie enjoys breakout game with seven goals
South Australian forward Cameron Nairn has firmly placed his name in the mind of AFL recruiters after booting seven goals in Sunday's victory over Western Australia.
Nairn had five goals by the main break, with two goals late into the opening term setting him up for a massive afternoon.
His reading of the ball and marking helped his case, while Nairn looked at ease in shooting for goal to bring his carnival total to nine goals in his three games.
The Central District forward tallied nine score involvements from his 11 disposals and six marks, with all of his disposals hitting the target.
SA continue unbeaten run with big win over WA
South Australia's dominant start to this year's U18s Boys National Championships continued over the weekend, with the Croweaters collecting a 76-point victory over Western Australia at Alberton Oval on Sunday.
The home side booted 10 goals in the second half to cruise to a third win in as many games at this year's carnival, with the aforementioned seven-goal performance from Nairn a standout.
Larke Medal contender Dyson Sharp had his second game in a row of at least 30 disposals and two goals, with the inside midfielder also coming away from the win with seven tackles and six clearances.
Key forward and pinch-hit ruck Aidan Schubert was again among his side's best, bringing his carnival goals tally to eight majors after booting the opening goal of the game. Schubert recorded a game-high 12 score involvements from his 21 disposals, 10 of which were contested.
His forward partner Mitch Marsh booted another two goals to continue his rise up draft boards this year.
WA mids continue strong start
While the game didn't go in favour of the Black Ducks, WA's leading engine room assets were among the losing side's best performers.
Potential top 10 pick Fred Rodriguez amassed 20 disposals, three clearances and three tackles, while he was part of six of WA's 10 scores for the day.
Fellow midfielders Sam Swadling, Toby Whan and Jacob Farrow also impressed, while ruckman Benji van Rooyen was also among the standouts, recording 14 disposals, 11 contested possessions, six clearances, four intercept possessions and eight hitouts.
WA forward Luke Hallett was the sole multiple goalkicker for Marc Webb's side, with last week's match-winner Hudson Walker adding to his season tally with a single goal.
Medium-sized defender Matt Becker was also strong in defence despite the heavy loss, managing eight intercept possessions to end his afternoon with 19 disposals, three score involvements and a disposal efficiency of 73.7%.
McKinnon magic as GWV forward boots big bag
Rebels spearhead Charlie McKinnon has added to his shining form in the Coates Talent League with a seven-goal haul against Murray on Sunday.
Stunningly, it's not the biggest bag of goals for the GWV forward, who amassed eight majors in Round 8 against the Western Jets.
McKinnon now has 22 goals from five games in the CTL this year to lead the competition, sitting with an average of 4.4 goals per appearance.
The 49-point win for the Rebels also saw key forward Floyd Burmeister continue his strong campaign, booting two goals from 19 disposals and eight marks, while bottom-ager Charlie Kenna booted three goals in his second game of the season.
GWS's Frason Molan and Bushrangers ace Ryder Corrigan managed game-highs for disposals with 25 each, while Carlton father-son Harry Dean has continued his stellar season, amassing 21 disposals, five marks and four rebound 50s in the loss.
Dovaston boots five in one-point win
Eastern Ranges small forward Lachy Dovaston has strengthened his prospects as a first-round draft chance with a stellar showing in his side's thrilling win over the Geelong Falcons.
The Vic Metro small forward booted five goals from 20 disposals to be a shining light for the Ranges in their fifth win for the year.
Dovaston also laid six tackles to impress as a pressuring presence in the front half, with the 177cm talent looming as the top small forward option not tied to an AFL club in this year's draft class.
His Vic Metro teammate and medium-sized defender Xavier Taylor was again one of the Ranges' top names in the win, recording 11 marks for a return of 22 disposals.
Ranges ruckman Jaden Lawrence was also strong, booting a pair of goals to go with 11 disposals and 31 hitouts.
For Geelong, forward Jesse Mellor was again a starring target up front, booting two goals from 18 disposals and eight marks.
Hugo Mikunda had a game-high 30 disposals, while Daniel Lowther and Riley McLeod booted two goals each.
Smith continues upward trend
Vic Metro and Dandenong midfielder Callum Smith was again among the best on ground over the weekend, this time in his return for the Stingrays.
After a promising opener to his U18s National Championships last week, Smith pulled on the Stingrays jumper on Saturday against Oakleigh as a key contributor in the engine room.
Up against his former side, Smith had 29 disposals, seven tackles, five inside 50s and a goal to impress onlookers again as a two-way midfielder.
Smith's positive first half to the year comes after moving from Oakleigh and stepping away from school football duties, changes that have placed him firmly in consideration for AFL opportunities at the cessation of this draft season.
Essendon debutant dominates against Demons
Bombers VFL first-gamer Lachlan Monteath has landed himself on the radar of AFL clubs after a prolific debut performance against Casey on Saturday night.
Coming into the side in the absence of AFL-listed ruck Vigo Visentini, Monteath went head-to-head with Melbourne's Will Verrall in the ruck to stake his claim as a state league level talent.
The 19-year-old recorded 29 disposals, 19 hitouts, seven clearances, 18 contested possessions, five intercept possessions and a goal in his first showing in the red sash.
His goal came from a tricky set shot near the boundary line to give his side the lead late in the third term in what was a key moment in the contest.

The young ruckman has quickly emerged as a prospect for AFL clubs to consider, with his ability in the ruck and forward of the ball set to excite many.
VFL debuts for club-tied teenagers
Melbourne father-son prospect and Gold Coast Academy member Kalanu White made his first appearance for the Casey Demons on the weekend.
White, who is able to play in the ruck, as a key defender or as a forward target, was positioned in attack while taking on some of the ruck workload.
The teenager booted two goals from nine disposals and also managed four marks and 11 hitouts in the win for the Demons.
The same game also saw Essendon NGA talent Adam Sweid make his first appearance at the level, with the midfielder/half-forward booting a goal from 10 touches as a front-half option for Essendon.

Annable adds to positive VFL start
Brisbane Academy star Dan Annable was again a composed asset at VFL level a week on from making his debut for the Lions' reserves.
After a strong opening game for the midfielder, Annable found no issue getting his hands on the ball, recording 19 disposals, four clearances, three tackles, nine contested possessions, seven score involvements and a goal.
It could've been a massive day for the potential top five pick, who booted one goal from four scoring chances.
Annable could be in line for a third VFL appearance this weekend before returning to his duties for the Allies next week when the representative side takes on Western Australia in Melbourne.
