Adelaide Crows youngster Josh Worrell is likely to be sanctioned by the club after being pulled over by police for using his mobile phone whilst driving and blowing a 0.056 blood alcohol reading over the weekend.

Worrell is understood to have been driving home from a teammate's house in the early hours of Sunday morning when he was stopped by police.

The 19-year-old is currently on a probationary driver's license and has been issued an expiation notice.

Adelaide's head of football Adam Kelly expressed his disappointment in the emerging teenager.

โ€œJosh is disappointed and rightfully so as this behaviour is clearly a breach of our standards and those of the community,โ€ Kelly said, per the club website.

Worrell is yet to play a senior game for the Crows.
