Highly-rated assistant coach Darren Burgess will join the Adelaide Crows in November as the club's new high performance manager
Burgess will commence the role before pre-season, after spending the past two years in a similar role at the Demons.
Burgess' experience in high performance management extends to a five-year stint with Port Adelaide from 2012 to 2017, before spending two years at Arsenal FC in the English Premier League from 2017 to 2019.
In the past, he has also worked as the head of fitness for the Power, Football Federation Australia and Liverpool FC.

Adelaide Head of Football Adam Kelly said he is assured by Burgess' demonstrated experience and success.
โHe has worked with elite sporting teams both in Australia and abroad for nearly two decades and has a thorough understanding of what is required for athletes to prepare and perform at a consistently high level," he said in a club statement on Tuesday.
Burgess will take charge of both the AFL and AFLW teams, which Kelly says will bolster the club's off-field resources.
โTo have someone of Darrenโs experience and expertise is a significant addition to our club as we look to fast track the development of our playing group,โ he said.
The Crows remain hopeful that Burgess' expertise will inject success into Adelaide's 2022 campaign after he recently led the high performance team during Melbourne's historical premiership campaign.
