Adelaide has delisted three players from its senior squad as the Crows head into the off-season. Chayce Jones, Lachlan Sholl and father-son Tyler Welsh have been told they will not be offered contracts for 2027 and beyond.
Jones arrived at Adelaide with Pick 9 in the 2018 National Draft from Tasmania. He played 100 games across eight seasons for the Crows.
Scholl was also on Adelaide's list for eight seasons, playing 79 games and earning two Rising Star nominations.
Welsh, son of Scott, who played 129 games at Adelaide, was selected with Pick 59 in the 2024 draft, but didn't play a game at AFL level.
List manager Jarryd Roughead said the club thanked the trio of players for their services to the organisation.
“A great personality around the club and always a team-first person, Chayce will certainly be missed,” Roughead said.
“Eight years anywhere is always something to be commended and to whatever comes next for Chayce and his family, we wish him well.
“We will miss having 'Sholly' around the club, someone who was always a positive energy in the corridors at West Lakes.
“His dedication and commitment across the past eight seasons is something any player can be proud of.
“We wish all three players the very best for the future."
It leaves Jordon Butts, Charlie Edwards, Mitchell Hinge, Luke Pedlar, Billy Dowling and Oscar Ryan as the remaining Crows players without contracts for 2027.
Butts (Western Bulldogs) and Pedlar (Essendon or Port Adelaide) are expected to seek trades this off-season.
Ryan and Dowling have said during the week they believe they will receive another contract.
