Essendon defender Jaxon Prior, who was at the centre of 'Whiteboard Gate' earlier this year, has broken his silence regarding the public issue.
Against his former club, Brisbane, Prior's partner, Bronte, was listed as a strength on a whiteboard detailing the Bombers' strengths and weaknesses.
The whiteboard, which is believed to have been written on by Lions players, had Essendon star Zach Merrett and forward Kyle Langford branded as "selfish". Prior had the words "no right foot" and "temper" awarded to his weaknesses section, along with his long-term partner's name as his only strength in that column.
Prior, speaking almost three months since the incident, thought it was "pretty funny" from his former club, and that he and his partner had no real issue, although he understands how it quickly became a media spectacle.
"I got a little nod before the game about it," he said on Young Guns Inside the System podcast.
"In the morning, having breaky, Sam Durham said, 'Did you see this photo?' I hadn't seen anything yet. He then said what was on it, and I was like, ' That's blood good from them'. Hats off, that was pretty funny.
"And then, go out there and play the game, and from when the game finished, it started blowing up. I'd been talking to my partner, Bronte, about it all and when she first heard about it, she thought it was quite funny because obviously we've got a great relationship with everyone up there, players, staff, everyone.
"So there was absolutely no malice in anything that was written up there. Bronte was stoked she was a strength, not a growth area.

"It is what it is. We understood it was going to go on for a little bit of time but the club (Brisbane) were so good in talking and constantly ringing me throughout the week and offering their support to myself and Bronte more importantly.
"But right from the moment we found out, we knew there was no malice in it."
The Lions repeatedly admitted wrongdoing, with multiple players and coaches conceding an error.
Prior's former teammates had reached out during the time to ensure he was okay.
