From acts of bravery, coaches speaking and an insight into the Norm Smith Medal voting process, there was plenty that was said when much of Melbourne was partying in the aftermath of the grand final.

Norm Smith Medal panelist lifts lid on voting
Australian Football Media Association head and Newscorp journalist Lauren Wood was the only Norm Smith Medal panelist to give Will Ashcroft three votes.
There was public outcry when Shai Bolton won the prestigious award given he had a couple of forgettable moments in the last quarter, while back-to-back Norm Smith Medallist Will Ashcroft put his side on his back in stoppage time.
Josh Dunkley, Hayden Young, Caleb Serong, Dayne Zorko and Harris Andrews were others floated as potential victors.
Bolton's victory fuelled queries about whether the votes were cast early, with Wood giving an insight into the process on Code Sports.
"No definitely not. I sat in my usual spot in the press box. An AFL staff member came to me on the siren. I walked from my seat to the lounge area at the top of the press box and that's where the card was waiting for me to cast my vote," Wood said.
"They were collated with the other panel members who were seated around the ground wherever they were watching the game from.
"It is one thing to come to your votes in your own head 10 minutes into the last quarter. That's how they saw it but my votes certainly went in after the game and I'm assured by the AFL all of them were cast post-siren."
