West Coast have provided the latest on hurt duo Harley Reid and Jake Waterman as part of an injury update for several senior players.

Both Reid (ankle) and Waterman (back) have been placed on modified programs for this week after suffering injury concerns at training, with both players expected to be back in full training next week.

Waterman, who has enjoyed an uninterrupted pre-season this summer, will be eased into training after reporting soreness, while Reid will also undergo a conservative approach after dealing with leg and concussion concerns earlier in the program.

"Jake had a little bit of back soreness last Friday,โ€ Eagles high-performance lead Mat Inness said in a club update.

"He hasn't missed anything the whole pre-season, so we are using this week just to modify his loads a bit, and will hopefully see him back training next week.

"With a long year ahead, we're just looking after him this week, using it as a de-load week for him, and we expect him to be back training next week."

The club has also played down any concern surrounding new recruit Liam Baker, who was unable to finish a training session last week with an ankle issue.

Baker has since returned to full training and isn't expected to be further hindered by the injury.

"Bakes' is fine, and back to full training," Inness said.

"He had a slightly rolled ankle but didn't miss any running and he's now back in full training."

Fringe pair Callum Jamieson (knee/ankle) and Rhett Bazzo (foot) are both still in recovery after requiring operations over the off-season.

Jamieson has begun ramping up his workloads this month, while Bazzo will eye a similar stage of his rehabilitation in the coming weeks.

"Jamo' is integrating back into training now after his knee and ankle surgery last season and it's all going to plan," Inness said.

"Rhett Bazzo had surgery in the Christmas period on his broken foot.

"He's coming back into training, and we will integrate him more and more over the next couple of weeks."

West Coast have flagged veteran midfielder Elliot Yeo should be available for the "first month of the season" after hurting his knee and ankle at training.

The club also confirmed this week that premiership onballer Dom Sheed will likely miss the entire 2025 season after suffering an ACL injury on Monday.
