SEN host Tim Watson has revealed some interesting news regarding the Footy Show on Channel Nine.

Earlier this year, Watson said the Footy Show would be coming back for a Grand Final special with Eddie McGuire and Sam Newman, but Watson now has some mail on who could replace them next year.

“There’s been a lot of discussion for the Footy Show, it’s coming back for the Grand Final Show,” he told SEN Breakfast.

“I can also tell you that on the Friday night before this year’s Grand Final, Grand Final eve, Channel Nine will have their Sunday Footy Show panel all together as part of their program on the Friday night before the Grand Final.

“The feeling is that if it goes really well and if it rates really well, there’s a possibility that it may be the replacement Footy Show next year.

“The Sunday Footy Show moves into the Thursday night slow.”

The Sunday Footy Show panel currently consists of Tony Jones, Nathan Brown, Kane Cornes, Damian Barrett, Matthew Lloyd and Billy Brownless.

Watson also had some news regarding Footy Classified, which airs on Monday night and is hosted by Craig Hutchison.

“I’m also hearing that they may be muscling up a little further with their footy programming. I’m hearing there’s a possibility that Footy Classified might be on three nights a week next year,” he said.
