Adelaide forward Taylor Walker is open to a move up the ground in 2020, and will speak to coach Matthew Nicks about the possibility.

“I might try and play a little bit (on the wing),” Walker told Triple M's Roo & Ditts on Wednesday.

“It’s my idea, I’ve got to speak to Nicksy about it.

“I’ve dropped a little bit of weight, three to four kilograms.

“It’s wishful thinking (but) I’ve had some time to think about it.”

Walker played all 22 games in 2019 and kicked 43 goals, marking his second straight season with an average of under 2.0 goals per game.

Prior to 2018, Walker had seven straight seasons with at least 2.0 goals per game.

A move up the ground would see some of Adelaide's youngsters take over from the former captain, with Walker mentioning a number of teammates who could fill the void.

“Fog will play a bit, big Elliott Himmelberg, we’ve got Billy Frampton over,” Walker said.

“There is a lot to choose from… we’ll see how we go.”
