A host of Victorian clubs continue to circle out-of-contract Sun Jack Martin as we approach the midway point of the season, reports the Herald Sun.

Gold Coast are keen to lock away the 24-year old with hopes that when they become a finals contender, he will provide the class at the top.

The expansion club have done a good job in recent times of re-signing several key players, including Peter Wright, Jack Bowes, David Swallow, Touk Miller, Alex Sexton and Jarrod Witts.

The Suns have been able to ease their salary cap situation from last year, putting them in a strong position to retain Martin.

The dynamic forward is averaging 20.4 disposals, 4.2 marks and 5.5 tackles per game this season.

St Kilda, Essendon and the Western Bulldogs have all been previously linked to the Western Australian.
