A senior Carlton player is facing an uncertain future due to their reluctance to get vaccinated against Covid-19.

The AFL have mandated that all players be vaccinated should they wish to play in 2022 with Victorian-based players required to be fully vaccinated by November 26 according to the Victorian Government's guidelines.

Pre-season training resumes for first-fourth-year players on November 22, while senior players are expected back on December 6th.

Players who aren't vaccinated will not be permitted to attend the club.

Should the player remain unvaccinated, they face the possibility of being placed on an inactive list or even sacked.

The Herald Sun have reported that the club and player have been in constant communication, with the Blues still hopeful of resolving the situation.

Zero Hanger reached out to Carlton for comment with the club opting not to comment.
