Ahead of game 300 next week, St Kilda's Brad Hill has nearly broken his personal record of 42 disposals (which was set earlier this year) in a match in a lacklustre fixture against Richmond at the MCG on Saturday.
The dour contest saw the Saints trounce the Tigers by 49, with stats the only interesting point and Hill's 41-disposal demolition a highlight.
St Kilda's win also gives Saints fans a glimmer of hope of making it to the Wildcard Round as the club prays on the downfall of Carlton in the next two games.
Emerging midfielder Max Hall smashed his previous record of 33 disposals in a game by registering a 40-bomb.
Hall finished the game with 21 kicks, 19 handballs, six tackles, four goal assists and one goal.
Young gun defender Alix Tauru sent scares through the Saints camp as he came to the bench early in the match with what appeared to be a corked hamstring. However, the talented 19-year-old returned to the field and played out the game in his first match back at AFL level since Round 14.
St Kilda key forward Mitch Owens also had a career-best day as he finished with five goals from his 14 disposals.
Owens' previous best was four, which he had kicked on two separate occasions.
The Saints now sit in 11th, one win out of 10th (Carlton) and with a better percentage than the Blues.
St Kilda plays Gold Coast at Marvel Stadium next weekend to round out the home-and-away season.
