With the home and season almost over, there are plenty of trade rumours floating around.

But this one is perhaps one of the more unexpected rumours we have come by.

The Herald Sun has reported that three-time reigning premiers Hawthorn, have been linked with a move for Richmond free agent Tyrone Vickery.

Vickey, 26, has played 119 games for the Tiger since being selected with pick No.8 in the 2008 National Draft.

However, he has failed to live up to expectations, averaging just 1.3 goals per game in his career, with many suggesting a fresh start at a new club could be just the tonic for the key position player.

Vickery has also been linked with a move to North Melbourne, who also have a habit of recruiting mature aged players in recent years.
