FSeptember is the ultimate test for any AFL footballer, where any team can win on any given day.

In the past decade, there have been a plethora of unbelievable finals results and performances, and we've managed to whittle them all down to a top five.

4. Collingwood (15.7 97) def Richmond (8.10 58) - 2018 Preliminary Final

Richmond's 2018 season was one of the most dominant in recent memory. The Tigers didn't lose a game in Victoria, finishing the season with 18 wins as they marched their way to the penultimate round after a rousing victory over Hawthorn.

Collingwood also enjoyed a solid season, finishing third with 15 wins, but suffered a qualifying round loss to West Coast and scraped their way past GWS in the semi final. The Pies, who had lost both games against Richmond in 2018, were expected to be swiftly eliminated by the Tigers, but Nathan Buckley's men had other ideas.

Collingwood jumped out the blocks quickly and, led by an unlikely source in Mason Cox, who booted three goals, as the Pies triumphed by 39 points and booked a date with the Eagles in the Grand Final.
