Ahead of his 200th game, Tom Hawkins has named his top five players he has played with during his time at the Cats.

Speaking on SEN Radio on Wednesday morning, Hawkins was asked to name his three top teammates, but after naming Joel Selwood and Matthew Scarlett at one and two respectively, the Tomahawk named three players equal third, unable to split them, such are the caliber of players he has taken the field with over a golden era for Geelong.

See Hawkins' top five Geelong teammates below.

Hawkins, one of a number of Geelong premiership players drafted under the father-son rule in the mid-late 2000s, has grown into one of the game's best forwards in the past five to six years.

He was considered to be one of the best key forwards of his draft, with many suggesting he could have gone No.1 had he not been a father-son recruit.

However, he struggled to cement his place in the side early in his career, with his development taking longer than expected, as is often the case with key forwards.

He then came of age in the 2011 grand final, which Geelong won against Collingwood by 38 points.

He has been a model of consistency since, averaging 56 goals per season over the past five years and has kicked 415 goals in his 199 game career.

"If I can name five I’ll go Gary (Ablett), Patty (Dangerfield) and Corey Enright. I can’t split them," Hawkins said.

2: Matthew Scarlett.

"I was able to play a fair bit on Scarlo at training while I was developing. He was a great teacher but I also saw first-hand how good he really was."
