Hollywood actor and performer Hugh Jackman could potential candidate for this year’s Grand Final entertainment, according to journalist Tom Browne.

On Triple M’s Hot Breakfast program on Thursday morning, Browne revealed he had been told Jackman may be a realistic option.

“The dates sort of add up, he’s in Auckland on the 7th of September, due in Boston, Massachusetts on the first of October which is the Tuesday [after the grand final],” said Browne.

However, co-host Eddie McGuire believes that Jackman may not be available to perform on the last Saturday in September due to travel.

“My mail was that [Jackman] might be leaving earlier,” said McGuire.

“But you never know. I think that the Premier of Victoria is pretty keen for Hugh Jackman to perform at the Grand Final.”

The Sydney-born Wolverine star is a Swans fan, most recently attending their match against Essendon at Marvel Stadium last year.

Jackman is currently in Australia performing his self titled musical show across the country.
