Richmond draftee Jack Graham has been placed on the Tigers' long-term injury list after he fractured his ankle at training.

The midfielder suffered the injury early in the week and scans later revealed a small fracture in the ankle, which is set to sideline Graham for eight weeks.

It was the second major injury for the South Australian during his short stint at the club, after Graham injured his hamstring late last year that impacted his pre-season output.

The 19-year-old was selected with the 53rd pick in the 2016 AFL National Draft, after a strong national under-18 championships that saw him win the Larke Medal for the best player in division one.
