Richmond midfielder Jacob Hopper has been withdrawn from Sunday's clash against Port Adelaide due to a knee injury.

Hopper, as first reported by 7 News' Theo Doropoulos, was dealing with a knee issue and was sent for scans.

In the first year at Punt Road, the former Giant experienced a mixed season, tending to multiple injuries.

Hopper featured in 16 games in 2023 and was hoping to put to bed the horrid run of injuries into the new year.

Joining him on the sidelines is premiership defender Nathan Broad, who has been ruled out with calf soreness.

The injured duo have been replaced by youngsters Hugo Ralphsmith and James Trezise in the squad of 26.

Richmond will confirm their starting 23 at 5 pm.
