Unsurprisingly, Geelong and Gold Coast icon Gary Ablett Jnr was taken with Pick 1 in the Carlton Draft, with Newbridge FNC the successful applicant.
The Carlton Draft returned for a fifth edition, with Ablett joined by some former champions of the AFL.
The 'Little Master' was among six players, such as Gary Rohan, Josh Gibson, Dyson Heppell, Josh Kennedy and Lewis Jetta.
In line with this year's theme – rivalry – one team from each state had the choice to draft one of two former AFL players, with the other to line up for their nominated rivals.
Newbridge FNC is situated near the Loddon River in Victoria; the club has recovered from two major floods in the past 15 years.
They will line up against arch rivals, the Bridgewater FNC, who welcomed Ablett's former teammate and 2022 premiership Cat, Gary Rohan, to the helm.
West Coast flag teammates - Kennedy and Jetta - will stand opposite one another in the Great Southern Football League in Western Australia. Kennedy will suit up for Denmark Walpole FC, while Jetta will do the same for the Royals FC.
Venturing to New South Wales will be Heppell and Gibson, who will renew their Essendon-Hawthorn hatred in the North West NSW football league.
The former Bombers skipper will line up for the Tamworth Kangaroos, which will be against cross-town rivals, the Tamworth Swans and the Hawks' premiership defender.
The two sides will go head-to-head later this month, with the winner taking home the Billy Holder Cup.
