There's not many more stacked coaching line-ups in football than at APS school Haileybury College.

Essendon great and goal-kicking legend Matthew Lloyd leads the club's senior high school team, but has an array of AFL support.

Collingwood star and soon-to-be V/AFL games record holder Scott Pendlebury is one of Lloyd's assistants, while former Bomber Cale Hooker and ex-Saint Aaron Hamill also don the purple polo.

But overseeing the football department, and all the sports in the school, as St Kilda great Nathan Burke, who joined in September as the Head of Coaching.

Burke looks after more than 380 coaches at Haileybury across 40 sports.

Burke helped land Hamill in the off-season. The pair spent time together during their AFL playing days at the Saints.

Hooker and Lloyd were teammates at the Bombers for two seasons in 2008 and 2009, and stand again side by side on Saturday's as they lead the Bloods.

Haileybury has turned into a powerhouse of the APS competition, winning two of the past three premierships.

Through those years, Archie Roberts, Harry Armstrong and Taj Hotton were all drafted from the school and through the Sandringham Dragons.

The King twins (Ben and Max), Andrew Brayshaw, Luke Davies-Uniacke, Josh Battle and Karl Amon are some of the stars in the AFL from the school.

There are currently 17 players in the top-flight league that attended Haileybury.
