Sydney star Dan Hannebery has rubbished suggestions he is playing injured.

The AFL Footy Show's Damian Barrett reported on Thursday night Hannebery has been battling osteitis pubis.

Hannebery, like many of his Sydney teammates, has struggled for form this season, averaging 23.2 disposals per game, well down on his last two years of 30+.

However, has has refuted the claims.

"I don't know how that came up, I've had a few niggles here and there, but so has every other player in the competition," Hannebery said on Friday morning.

"I've been 100 per cent fit to train at our main sessions and play, and feel really good going into games, so from that perspective I'm fine.

"My running during a game hasn't been affected by any niggles or injuries or anything like that.

"My form has been inconsistent at best, and it's been really disappointing, and like the rest of the group, especially the midfielders, I'm working hard to rectify it."

Hannebery is not the only Swans midfielder to be down on output this season.

New captain Josh Kennedy has averaged 27.7 disposals so far this season, down from 30.5 and 31.5 in 2015 and 16' respectively.

Luke Parker is averaging 23 disposals this season, compared to 26 and 27 in the last two seasons.

While Kieren Jack averaged 15.8 disposals across the first five rounds before he succumbed to injury, down from 22.6 last year.

The Swans, who are currently on the bottom of the ladder without a win from the opening six rounds, host the Brisbane Lions at the SCG on Sunday afternoon.
