Stood-down Sydney star Isaac Heeney has spoken publicly for the first time since the now infamous alleged incident at the Pullman Hotel after Round 23.
Speaking publicly when he left the club, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to address the club.
"It was really nice to address the whole club and I'm really grateful they could give us their time and understanding. It was really good. Sorry guys," he said.
Peppered with questions as he departed about his regret and whether he offered an apology, Heeney remained silent.
It was his first time back at the club since being stood down.
Heeney, and teammates Chad Warner, Riley Bice, Nick Blakey and James Jordon were unavailable for selection in Round 24 and throughout the finals series as a police investigation remains ongoing into the alleged occurrences.
Warner briefly spoke to the media upon entrance.
“I'm just here for my exit meetings,” Warner said.
Asked if he wanted to apologise, he said: “I don't know. We'll wait and see.”
Blakey is contracted until the end of 2031 but is expected to seek a path out of the Swans as the fallout of the saga continues.
