Sydney Swans young duo Will Hayward and Oliver Florent have committed to the Swans for the foreseeable future.

Hayward has signed a four-year deal to remain at the Swans until at least 2024, while Florent has inked a two-year deal that will see him remain at the Swans until at least 2022.

The pair were selected with the Swans' first two selections in the 2016 draft, with Florent being selected at pick 11 while Hayward was selected at pick 21.

Sydney Head of Football Charlie Gardiner says it’s exciting to have locked in the pair in and sees them as important figures in the Swans line-up moving forward.

“We’re delighted that Will and Ollie have recommitted to the club,” Gardiner told the club's website.

“Will and Ollie are both outstanding young men and an important part of our young group.

“They have both played some high quality football early on in their careers and we see them as an integral part of the Club’s next era of success.”

Both Hayward and Florent didn't have to wait long for their debuts for the Swans, with Florent being named in the Sydney line-up in round 1, 2017 while Hayward was selected in the team the following week.

The pair have played 53 games each for the Swans and provided plenty of excitement on the field.

Hayward and Florent join a host of teammates to commit to the club in 2019 including Harry Cunningham, Colin O’Riordan, Callum Sinclair, Jordan Dawson, Nick Blakey, James Rowbottom, Justin McInerney and Harry Reynolds, along with coach John Longmire.
