The Western Bulldogs will be without two of the most potent forwards as the club confirmed the extent of the injuries suffered by Aaron Naughton and Sam Lloyd.

Naughton will undergo surgery after suffering a syndesmosis injury to his left ankle and will miss at least six weeks.

Lloyd will also have surgery to repair a broken collarbone, although the club has not put a timeline on the 30-year-old's return.

The injuries cast a shadow over the Bulldogs 28-point win over Sydney on Thursday night.

It was the Bulldogs' second win of the season and moved them up to 10th on the ladder.
