Gold Coast have suffered a double injury blow, with Wil Powell and Jack Martin set to miss an extended period of time.

Powell injured his knee against Richmond on Saturday, and could be out for the remainder of the season after sustaining the knock to his lateral meniscus.

“Will injured his lateral meniscus in a tackle in the game early on the weekend,” Gold Coast's Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull told the club's website.

“So he’s going to consult with a knee specialist in the coming days and we’ll have a plan of action moving forwards after that.”

Martin will also be sidelined indefinitely, after dislocating his finger against the Tigers.

Martin has played every game this season for the Suns, but will now spend time recovering from surgery.

“Jack’s dislocated his finger and has unfortunately needed surgery to repair quite a significant injury,” Bull added.

“So he’s just had surgery today and after a couple more consultations post-surgery we’ll have a bit more of a timeframe on Jack.”
