Norwood 9.14 (68) def. by Adelaide 12.14 (86)

Adelaide handed Norwood their first loss of the season in a match that went down to the wire. Whilst Norwood dominated the first half, Adelaide dug deep and produced a fairy tale ending in the second half.

Shane McAdam recorded his second game with Adelaide after a bumpy start to the season, being traded to Adelaide after being pre-selected by Carlton. McAdam kicked three goals for the day and gathered 11 disposals along with five marks.

Ned McHenry and Patrick Wilson led the disposal tally with 25 touches each. Wilson also scored two goals and earned himself a spot in the Crow’s best.

Luke Brown played his first game since recovering from an ankle injury. The defender performed well, finishing with 14 disposals and four rebound 50s.

Adelaide will face Port Adelaide this week, with both teams looking to go back-to-back after round six wins.

Port Adelaide 18.11 (119) def. Central District 13.7 (85)

Port Adelaide have secured their first back-to-back win for the 2019 season after defeating Central District by an impressive 34 points.

Former Melbourne skipper, Jack Trengove continues his strong form in the SANFL this season. The star midfielder was prolific, finishing with 32 possessions, 10 clearances and seven marks.

Steven Motlop and Joe Atley found themselves plenty of the ball, collecting 27 and 28 disposals respectively with Motlop also scoring a goal.

Other notable mentions include Tobin Cox and Billy Frampton who booted four goals each and Peter Ladhams, who concluded the day with 40 hit outs, 28 disposals and two goals.

Port Adelaide look to secure a third win in a row, as do Adelaide, their opposition this week.
